A Cold and Windy Wednesday Night
Trying not to freak out about: the bombings in Jordan and the ongoing and new violence on the Continent. My darlings in France—please stay safe.
Just finished reading: Marriage: A History by Stephanie Coontz (thank you, Amazon!). Long, but incredibly interesting and readable—totally blew my mind. My only complaint, really, is that the first chapters of the book had a very global view of marriage, and the focus narrowed greatly (to the West) after the first 75 pages or so. I suppose that was inevitable, considering how much detail she went into, but I wished I could get a similarly in-depth analysis of Asian or African marriages.
Currently regretting: my commitment to NaNo. Every day, the gap between my projected and real word counts grows.
