I’ll Announce the Funeral Myself, Thank You
Because people are asking,...
I don’t know how this particular rumor started making its way around the extended Eurocrew, but let me post this publicly and clearly for anyone who’s interested: I have no intention to stop writing in this space any time soon. My silence here during the past few weeks shouldn’t be taken as a hint that I plan to pull the plug and/or completely disappear. If anything, I haven’t been publishing here because all my blog-related mindshare has been spent on completely restructuring and redesigning the entire site.
If anything, I’m hoping that the time I spend on this stuff now will pay off in the future. My track record in the regularly-updating department has been pretty dismal over the past year, and I think some decisions I made about this site’s organization back in January are partially to blame. Hopefully, making some intelligent changes—even if they’re in the backend, where no one will see them but me—will remedy that. Because, really, no one is more conscious of my irregular posting patterns than me.
That said, I don’t know when I’ll be done with these changes, so don’t get your hopes up for constant content soon. I do hope that things will move faster than I’m expecting—but it’s nearly Christmas and there are certainly more pressing things than sitting in front of my Powerbook and flooding my head with Photoshop, PHP, and CSS.
That’s not what the holidays are about.
