The Good News, Continued
The Good News: I leave for the Great Barrier Reef (and scuba lessons!) on Thursday. —me, this weekend
Yay!
I passed my dive medical today, even with the possible risks involved in the whole affair, but in a way that made me feel informed and instead of freaked out and scared. And besides, he made me giggle: as an English expat, he was apparently used to thinking in metric, and when I gave me him my height in feet and inches, he raised an eyebrow and asked, ”and in proper measurements?” with the crispest accent imaginable.
Yes, I could hear him italicize the word when he said it. It was great.
Not that much longer; just need to get through two exams first. Then it’s off to seven days of scuba, swimming, and sun; we’re expected to get 27 degree weather all week long! In the middle of winter!
There will be a happy adrenaline dance performed on Wednesday night. Oh, yes.
